Cost Savings Measures

Situation: Our client which is based in the north suburbs also has a satellite location in Costa Rica that is supported by Overlap Technology. This location had a hole popper machine that was crucial to their production. This machine was having issue with aligning the holes properly and was originally purchased from China for $20,000.  Normal cost for this machine was over $100,000 and all software related information was in Chinese.  The Chinese language was becoming a barrier and the changing the language to English appeared to be impossible.

Resolution: Our technician flew down to Costa Rica to resolve the alignment issue.  Due to the expert skills of our technician, the Chinese hole popper that was purchased at a steep discount became operational and saved the client $80,000 for the purchase of a new machine.

Situation: Our client’s main fiber optic line was was cut by a local construction company. Service was out in the entire suburb. They were only using landline for their business phone service. Their phone service was crucial to their day-to-day operation.

Resolution: Overlap Technology rapidly installed an internet phone system and forwarded their main number to the Internet number. This prevented lost of communications with their customers and avoided a significant potential lost of revenue.
